So anyway

Taking back control of my own blog for a sec (thanks, Nik, for covering), I just wanted to remind all those who care that I'll be at Conflict:London this coming Sunday. See you there.

Kudos to all who voted 'aye' to the idea of the blogathon (yeah, THANKS, Nik), we'll have to get that sorted on a sunday soon (not that my typing fingers aren't already down to the bone - I've worn out two clones this week, and it isn't thursday yet!). Still, I'll be here if you will. Let's set a date.

Oi oi! I've just finished Brothers Of The Snake. It's Ace Cakes. Off to play Dawn of War now, ceaselessly.

Can you give us an estimated time when your going to be doing this? I have baseball games and would like to ask or try to ask a few questions about your upcoming Gaunts Ghost novel. If not I'll ill just read it second hand lol

There are actually 10 circles of hell. The final cirle actually resides beneath satan's ice-entombed ass and it is known as Ft. Jackson, South Carolina.

Residents are, though noncommissioned officers, doomed to be treated as the lowliest of enlisted personnel. They are stripped of all privileges, of respect, and of human decency.

Ft. Jackson is, you see, the circle of hell devoted to the unjustly punished.

You may guess, based on the above information, my current residence. I was initially told that I would be here no longer than three weeks. Yesterday I was informed that my stay will be a minimum of a month, but that I should plan for the inevitability of a much longer stay.

Forgive me for the above rant. I was merely venting my frustration at the fact that I was expecting to see my family again in three weeks and my latest intel puts the figure at three months. I miss my kids like crazy and I can't stand being away from my wife.

Anyone else out there ever been to Ft. Jackson?

jesse - I spent twelve years in my own personal ft. Jackson, maybe I'll tell you about it one day :-)

Hang on in there!

Let me express an enthusiastic "Dang" that Brothers of the Snake is still not available in the States. I suppose the new Ciaphas Cain stuff will have to tide me over. Blah.

I've just finished Brothers of the Snake and I got to say I'm a little disappointed, in fact the last two books I’ve read, Rouge and Snake for me don’t live up to your high standards. I’m only saying this ‘cause you are in my opinion one of the best Sci – Fi writers around. Oh well I still got to read Armour of Contempt, which I know will be great, sure as sure.
