2000 FP

Just a reminder to those in the vicinity (or those not in the vicinity who’d quite like to make the effort TO be in the vicinity) this coming Saturday (March 21st) is the day of 2000FP, a mass 2000AD related signing at Forbidden Planet in London to celebrate all things 2000AD AND Forbidden Planet’s birthday (it’s kind of their two thousandth signing). It starts at one o’clock, it’s a ‘free form’ come along and chat type situation, and I’ll be there along with David Bishop, Simon Davis, Rufus Dayglo, Al Ewin, Brett Ewins, Henry Flint, Frazer Irving, Robbie Morrison, Tony Lee, Simon Spurrier and Tharg himself, Matt Smith. Come along and get a copy of David Bishop’s fabulous history of 2000AD - Thrill-Power Overload! - as well as all sorts of other 2000AD-ish goodness, including the new Sinister Dexter collection, Eurocrash, which you can, of course, get me and artist Simon Davis to damage by writing on it.

See you there!

ZING!

That's the sound of me firing my Lawgiver in salutation.

Unfortunately, a humble street Judge like me will likely be needed for crowd control here in Brit-Cit Cymru on Saturday. Gonna be a lot of perps on the streets if Murphyville lose the Rugger Ball match. A Judge's work is never done.

Zing!

I could tell me Ma to walk over, who will be in London this weekend, or me brother, who lives there... but methinks both will send me to hell for that :D

Just don't forget, you have an appointment on GD Germany this year... and Hell hath no wrath like a fanboy scorned twice, believe me ;)

I shall not be there as I will be at work, like I am five out of every six.

However, even if I was off tomorrow, I don't think I'd be there anyway since what I don't know about 2000AD could fit in an exceptionally large warehouse.

Bad times!

On a completely different note....how ridiculously happy and impressed that people still ice skate in the 31st Millennium?

The answer.....a lot!

YAY!

So Dan-

Just got back from seeing White Denim at the SXSW Music Festival, and wanted to thank you for the recommendation. Trust me, they're twice as fun to watch live!

I'd heard a lot of great things about them, but your comment put me over the edge- the fact that someone in England had discovered a band that regularly played in my city, when I hadn't seen them, was the final push needed. Thanks!
