Let's start with a shot of the chamber known as The High Lords Of Terra. This is one of the key sanctum sanctorum rooms in GW headquarters, where we gathered on Friday for our Horus Heresy Summit. And, yes, it's got a giant aquila across the windows
In the second shot, some of the High Lords begin to assemble: from left, Jim Swallow, Christian Dunn, Aaron Dembski-Bowden and Nick Kyme.
ZING!!!!
ReplyDeleteLovin the "top secret" files in the second pic! :D
So are you allowed to say what your next Heresy project is after Prosepero?
ReplyDeleteSo what can we expect this year?
You may just want to give this whole Heresy fad a break and start writing The Bequin Trilogy full time :)
Ah! I've been in that room.
ReplyDeleteNow if only I were a psyker like Camille in A Thousand Sons, I might have been sorted with the info.
I'm rather alarmed by the way in which AD-B's sideburns dominate the picture in the second shot.
ReplyDeleteLive at the Aquila!
ReplyDelete(but probably funnier than the TV show)
M
Pyroriffic - That's because they are the sideburns of a Mega Dude.
ReplyDeleteXhalax has indeed been in that room. I was sat next to her to prove it.
ReplyDeleteI was so glad of the Inquisition minder aswell.
"Can I say that?"
*Shakes head*
"Well, I can't tell you. But safe to say it's awesome."
Perhaps conning BL into some 'stages' coverage of a writer's room as a spoof to set internet tongues a'wagging.
I do believe the local taxi drivers call it the 'Reichstag'.... wonder why?
ReplyDeleteAnd so the fate of all of Mankind is decided.
ReplyDeleteDan - I'm hearing a rumour that there are no wolves on Fenris. Please say that they're really cats. If Nichola gets Sangy I should be able to get Space Cats!
ReplyDeleteM
Gutted I couldn't make it, but glad you got the bookmarks. Sounds like a fab day.
ReplyDeleteThe Wolves ate all the cats.
ReplyDeleteI've been in that room too! Opposite Xhalax no less.
ReplyDeleteBL Live 2010 was excellent. Dan's Seer Council session was inspiring, intriguing and amusing!
...and I'm ludicrously excited to discover that Dan is a White Scars fan! :D
Ilmarinen - Exactly which dude were you?
ReplyDeleteWith sitting at the book of the table, give or take, Dan was almost directly opposite. Guy to my right I knew and guy to my left made us late for the start of the Seer Council.
Very disturbing, the Elders are gathering in the Lodge!
ReplyDeleteI had a lodge meeting with Jim Swallow. Anyone there for that one?
ReplyDeleteM
White Scars, now were talking
ReplyDeleteThe Mighty Khan...man i cant wait to read about them .Hopefully Dan gets a shot at em 30k or 40k, they definately need some luv!
There's not much known about what the White Scars did during the Heresy. It seems odd to me for the masters of lightning-quick strikes to have ponderously returned to Terra and sat waiting for Horus without having a bit of fun on the way. Surely they had the fastest ships, so how's about some fleet engagements? And some pre-Heresy scraps with Orks? I'm not a fan of the greenskin but they were a huge menace in the Great Crusade and haven't been directly written about in the Heresy range so far.

@Xhalax - I was the fat bloke with the beard (ok, that doesn't narrow it down much) with the grey jumper and the knee-length black coat). I was also in ADB's seer council and you corrected me (2 people, not 4). :)
ReplyDeleteWell, the white scars were near the space wolves, and could have helped against the alpha legion, but then came the order to head for Terra immediately, so they went .......
