Just coming up for air from the throes of Gaunt long enough to direct your attention to such sites as Newsarama, Comic Book Resources and Marvel's own news page where all sorts of Nova-related fun and games have been officially announced this weekend.
And, chuffed as I am for Helen Mirren and the long-overlooked Martin Scorcese, the Oscar that really made me happy was Alan Arkin's. He's missed out twice before (1967 and 1969, I believe) so this definitely falls in the 'about bloody time' catagory. I mean, has the world forgotten Freebie And The Bean?

My god!
I just met someone named Helen Larkin. How close is that? She asked why i was laughed when she told me her name. I said - and I quote -
'Nothing. Nothings awry'.
:)
Just a word to say i'm looking forward to you and Andy's Nova run as from April and also to Annihilation: Conquest. From what I and other Nova fans have read you're going to make our hero stand proud.
guess what showed up in the post this morning? that's right, motherlikers: a shiny new copy of Ravenor Rogue, just for me. good thing I wasn't planning on pretending to do any actual work today
just a quick set of questions.... is the 5th book in the dark elf series the last book or will there be another story arc and will there be any closure to the Eisenhorn trilogy...never found out if he is dead or alive. thanks for all the great work you are doing and please keep Gaunt going!
Personally, I'm just deeply glad and happy that Pan's Labyrinth won two coz it was the best film I've seen in a very long time.
Would this "New arc" to the Gaunts Ghosts books have anything to do with 'Lil Gaunt?
nemesis749: the Eisenhorn trilogy has closure. Sometime after the trilogy, he appears in the short story Thorn Wishes Talon, in I think the What Price Victory? anthology.
The Ravenor series (so far, I don't think I've heard anyone describe it as a trilogy, so I assume there could be a fourth) does continue the story, and alludes to Eisenhorn's fate, but we don't know anything for sure.
toymachine, that's uncanny. Wow.
Ordering more Abnett books on Amazon today. All my money goes to Dunkin Donuts and english authors. Oh, tragedy.
Actually Pan won 3 oscars...
The one thing I am most looking forwards to next month is the 8th...if you have any power Mr. Abnett PLEASE get them to add chaplain13 and Raith. PLEASE!!!! ok that was a bit over the top, but this is probably the most important thing for me.
@ narrativium: am shame, that What Price Victory is out of print... Thorn Whises Talon is the one missing in my collecion for Eisenhorn...
Ans sredni... you're on my list now... ;)
Helen Larkin? I'm sorry, that's still making me laugh.
Larkin is actually a "not very rare, but not very common either" surname in Ireland.
McKennsy.
Helen Larkin... No offense meant, but cosidered with Larks, it sounds really weird ;)
